Leading by example

Tranzqual is seeing the benefits of the strong leadership skills we promote for our industry sectors. Tranzqual staff enjoy an award winning work culture and all our stakeholders benefit from the resulting efficiencies associated with good management.

Winning a national award and being finalists in two national business awards in 2009 shows the organization is showing positive leadership and this is valued both internally and externally.

Tranzqual received a Cultural Transformation Award for “outstanding achievement in transforming leadership and organisational culture” from Human Synergistics in November.

Human Synergistics presents the Award to honour companies that have created and sustained constructive work cultures. The organisation works with companies in 20 countries including all the top 10 Fortune 500 companies.  Its extensive database of research results feeds into teachings on leadership and culture at seven of the eight Ivy League universities in the USA.

The Cultural Transformation Awards were set up in 2006 and Tranzqual is one of only six New Zealand organisations to receive an award – and the only one in 2009.

Top organisations from all over New Zealand were also acknowledged in November in the JRA Best Workplaces Awards 2009. This is the second year Tranzqual has been a finalist and while Tranzqual did not win, we were fifth in the Small-Medium Workplace category (50-149 employees).

The JRA Best Workplaces Awards is the largest annual employment engagement survey in New Zealand. This year, 27,500 employees from 216 organisations rated their employer across 60 questions covering topics such as communication, culture and values, common purpose, learning and development, reward and recognition.

Tranzqual’s final honour this year went to our 2008 Annual Report which was one of five category finalists at The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants Annual Report Awards.
