Calling for CILT nominations
The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport in NZ (CILT) is calling for Applications for its Annual Awards 2010 to be presented in October, for the $2000 Tranzqual Scholarship to promote training towards the National Diploma in Road Transport Management or National Diploma in Logistics Operations.
There are 14 awards in three award categories: Academic/Research, Communications and Industry and Excellence.
The Academic/Research category includes a $2000 Tranzqual Scholarship to promote training towards the National Diploma in Road Transport Management or National Diploma in Logistics Operations. The scholarship is designed for potential future leaders who have entered the logistics and transport industry who do not already hold any formal industry specific academic qualification.

Tranzqual Training Awards 2010 for the Groundspread sector
Tranzqual Industry Training Organisation in association with the New Zealand Groundspread Fertilisers' Association (NZGFA) is pleased to announce the winners of the inaugural Tranzqual Training Awards 2010 for the Groundspread sector.
Tranzqual has partnered with NZGFA to present the awards to celebrate training excellence and promote professional standards in the groundspread sector. The awards recognise industry stars and gives them a chance to step forward and gain recognition of their skills and learning.
Congratulations to the following winners who received their awards at the NZGFA Conference in Invercargill on Monday 28 June.
- Stage One Groundspread Trainee of the Year: Brenton Howden, Scully's Transport
- National Certificate Groundspread Trainee of the Year: Philip Johnson, Amuri Transport
- Groundspread Employer of the Year: Peter Herrick, D T King & Co
- Groundspread Employer of the Year – Highly Commended: Brent Scully, Scully's Transport
Nomination packs for the 2011 Tranzqual Training Awards will be mailed to NZGFA members and groundspread trainees around March 2011.
